I got a wonderful gift for Christmas A New House!! so we are packing up now to move so anyone who wants to come to the paint party come on over:) I will post pictures soon. We are moving to my Mom and Dads house and they are moving into my Grandma Kates house so lots of packing and painting for us. but I just can't wait.

Well as you could tell from my last post we are way into football season here so I have been very busy feeding the team again this year on Thursdays, Friday night games, And now two of my sweet boys I babysit are starting pee wee football so of course we have sat mornings and Monday evenings for that plus one is doing soccer so we are busy. I celebrated a birthday this month at the horseshoe with one of my girlfriends and our husbands. We have birthdays on the 11th and 12th so watching the buckeyes was a great way to celebrate. I hope everyone is bringing in fall with wonderful memories. This is my favorite time of the year!!

Its Football Season

okay I'm trying to get myself back into the swing of things its Football season around here Monday,Friday,Saturday and Sunday so its a little busy. just had to show you my wreath for football our hs is red and white and of course we love the Buckeyes so this incorporates our love for both. now on Sunday we are a house divided with several favorite teams. Its a friendly rivalry lol
I'm now in my fall decorating mode but we may be moving so I'm trying not to get too much into it in case I have to pack up everything and move. Do you love football as much as we do? what is your favorite teams to follow?

Goodbye Summer Hello Fall

Well its been a long summer. Happy Labor Day! We have had our ups and downs this summer. Started off not so great my husband had to lay people off where he works which is never good. so kinda stressful start to summer then my brother in law lost his job yikes its been bad. I have been sick all summer with stomach problems and allergies and am just now getting them under control, thanks to Zyrtec and prilosec!!
Now the good stuff spent part of our summer watching the boys play little league baseball then took my boys on a zoo trip to the Columbus zoo and water park which they loved. Taylor family reunion in Kentucky and a wedding in the park which was wonderful. then off to the smokies for a little rest.then home to start football practice for the coach which means summer is over.
On the sad side of our summer My 91 year old Grandma Kate fell and just could not get over the hump to get better. so we said out last goodbyes to her which I feel was the hardest thing. It was hard to say good-bye to someone who was a constant in your life for 45 years I put a little note in her pocket that said You have been a constant in my life for 45 years I loved you from the start and I will love you till the end of my time good bye Grandma Kate love you more! so kiss the ones you love and hug a little longer before you say goodbye.
So as you can see nothing has gotten done around here at all no projects no going junking nothing at all. So here is to a great fall and getting something done.. Have a wonderful Labor Day!!!

Today I would like to wish my wonderful Husband a Happy Birthday!!!

He is the most loving and caring father and I could not ask for a better husband he is everything I have ever wished for and more I love him more and more everyday. He still makes my heart skip a beat when I see him and his laugh still gives me the tingles.. I LOVE YOU CHRIS with all of my HEART...

Hello!

boy wow I've been gone a long time lol well I've been around and checking on everyone just not posting. We had the sickies go through here and of course I got it first and last yuck. Then had a big wedding project which the sickies put me behind but all ended well. Wedding turned out beautiful pics to follow. during that hurt my leg and finally am on the mend from that. But we did get a new baby that weekend Welcome Max Christopher can't wait to see you. I believe I'm ready for March to end hopefully April will be better. I hope to post some projects soon:)

Super Bowl Weekend!!!

Okay it's one of my favorite weekends of the year Super Bowl Weekend. I've been planing our menu and getting things ready to go. I'm super excited at 2 Our Number one Buckeyes Play and then the Steelers are playing in the Super Bowl and we are going for a 7th ring Woo hoo!!! Here We Go Steelers Here We Go!!!!!!!

We are having ultimate Nachos with everything. Hot Chicken Dip and Sloppy Joe bites got lots of chips and something sweet not sure what yet.. We are expecting snow again so I plan on being in my pj's after church to Cheer like a crazy lady for my teams.. Go Bucks!!! 23 and O H I O and sorry Packer Fans but this One Is For The STEELERS!!!! I'm waving my towel :)

Hello Friends yes It says a day at the Shoe!! the Horseshoe that is cheering on The Ohio State Buckeyes to beat the U it was a wonderful day!!! My husband got tickets to the game at the last minute so we got up early and headed to Holy Columbus Ohio to begin our day.. I love Columbus on Game day the sights and sounds of game day are wonderful there's no place like it. you can feel the excitement in the air. The game was great so exciting my ears were ringing when we left it was so loud. This was the best birthday weekend ever. I hope you enjoy the pics of our day Go Buckeyes!!!

Oh My It's almost game time!!!! That is The Ohio State Buckeyes Football Game Time The Bucks are kicking off college football season on Thursday night taking on Marshall University a night game is so awesome in The Shoe!!!

So in honor of My Buckeyes I made a wreath for the porch I think it looks awesome.. and of course we will have our Brutus all ready to be inflated on game day!!! Lets Go Bucks!!!!

Well it's been a little while, still sad here with out my baby. I find myself looking for him or getting ready to call his name and then it hits me he's gone. Hoping it gets better with time:) Thank you for the sweet thoughts.
Okay now on to some fun times the coach he's been trying to keep me busy and happy so he called the munchkins wanted to know if they wanted to go to the zoo to spend the day with Aunt Julie and Uncle Chris and of course they said yes... We had a great time and I will have to say it did take my mind off of the baby those munchkins were so great running everywhere
I was wore out when we left We are now planning our next trip to the Cincinnati zoo which we love also. I hope you are having a great summer.

Saying Goodbye is never easy..

Hello to all my sweet friends. We've had a very sad week and weekend here on Orchard Street. MY fur Baby Admiral was sick on Monday so off we went to the vet, where I thought he might have a bad ear infection which he gets all the time. And when the vet come in crying you never get good news My baby was in kidney failure. with no warning signs and he was already very bad they kept him for the day to give him fluids and see if it would help when I picked him up he looked so sad We continued this process everyday for the week with no relief for the baby on Friday night we went to get him and he could not walk. The vet said just take him home and love on him tonight and it probably won't be long so home we came to start saying goodbye to my baby. He had an awful night so back to the vet we went on Saturday Where we choose to go ahead and put him down I held him until the end My sweet baby was ready to cross the rainbow bridge.

I on the other hand was not and still am having a very hard time with all of this he was my shadow all day and its hard to be here without him so trying to stay busy keeping my mind off thinking about him. Admiral was the greatest little dog the center of our home life The d-man's best friend and the coaches sidekick out side. He was the smartest dog always ready for a belly rub and love from all the boys who frequent our house. We love you to the moon and back Admiral and we will miss you until we see you again Love Momma

Hello Friends I'm still kicking here in Southern Ohio... just been busy with life in general and lots of mother in law drama. lol We've had a lot to celebrate here lately. Our niece Samantha graduated from High School and then we had The longest running Memorial day Parade in the United States and our annual family picnic. Can you say busy busy... Not much rummaging its done nothing but rain here most of the month got a few flea market days in but nothing good came from that lol Now on to June and the d-mans graduation from college woooo hoooo yes now we will be celebrating big when this day comes yeah... only he has decided to go back to school so now where did I put those money seeds for the money tree I mean seriously tuition is horrible. But I'm so proud of him..

Hello Everyone I've been a bad blogger. It's been so crazy around here... I think my mil is trying to put me in the funny farm with her bad behavior. But I'm so over that she's not going to win this battle and I have better things to do..

Now on to the birthday boy My sweet Admiral had a Birthday this past week and I just had to post some pics of him on his Birthday..He is Eleven and I will have to say he is the sweetest dog who is a love bug and very smart. He also thinks he's human :)He is the Heart of Our home..

Easter was wonderful we spent it with my family and had a great day. We had picture day with the teenagers all boy fun lol... Spring is here finally in southern Ohio yeah... my flowers are coming up and everything is turning green.. Wishing all my Friends a wonderful week

Well March Brings a Birthday to Orchard Street.. My Baby boy is turning 22 today! I can't believe its been 22 years since God has given us this Miracle. That we treasure everyday he's the greatest kid a parent could ask for Sweet, loving and kind but still all boy. He loves his family and his friends with his whole heart. Hello out there in bloggy land it's been a while since i've been here. I've been visiting but not posting just in a winter rut I guess. We had a great christmas here at orchard street cottage A wonderful New years And a great big Buckeye Win to roast the ducks sorry to offend any ducks:) not really but can we still be friends:). We got some snow here and have been snowed in for a week or so no school boy I can't wait till it melts.lol

We did get some new bookcases and I love them been busy decorating them not sure if I'm done yet but It'll do for now thinking we might get one more for the other side all marked down at lowes woo hoo... so what do ya think?

O Christmas tree is right mine has given me fits this year its leaning and can't be fixed. I think the pole bent on its little trip to the floor last year:( I hate to get a new one this one is only 3 years old and was'nt cheap so the coach has reminded me a few times since it has went up. lol We went with the red and white theme with some silver. it has red and white lights on it.

We've been busy getting ready for the jolly old elf and making some of our Christmas presents. I'll have to post some pics after I get them done lol maybe lol

Hey everybody its been so crazy here with my aunts death and the holidays and everything going on I haven't had time to post or really do a whole lot. But I did start on some Christmas stuff just to get ahead of the rush and I've been thrifting a couple of times did get a few good deals I'll have to take some pics of my finds and post. First i made this wonderful wreath i saw on someones blog in Red, Silver and white to match my tree. I did get a deal to make this 2 things of 69 ornaments for 2.00 a piece so I had plenty and the wreath was 1/2 off at hl so It cost me 7.00 all together woo hoo.

The next one was the wreaths for our church doors I brought them home and redid them to match the new ornaments to decorate our trees in red and gold. I have seven trees to decorate this year and I already started this past weekend so pics to follow maybe next week:)

Hey everyone I'm so glad to be back to bloggy land. I have missed your cute faces. My Aunt Jule passed away last sat at the hospice after battling pancreatic cancer. I love love love the staff at the Ashland Ky Hospice Center they are so wonderful. You just don't know until you need them how great they are. We have said our goodbyes to Aunt Jule and we have celebrated her life. which was wonderful. My son Derek spoke at the funeral and did a wonderful job:) After we said goodbye to Aunt Jule we had to say goodbye to our Neighbor the same day he passed on from a stroke and a stay in the nursing home. Its been a sad week here on Orchard Street.

Now on to more upbeat things the coach's team finally won 2 games and i missed them both:( its not been a great season but we will take a win anytime. I've tried to get my fall out with everything going on but not working out too well got a few things done and even got some new things. I'll be posting some pics later this week. I hope everyone has a wonderful fall week.

Prayers needed please!

Hi everyone I've been gone a little while thought I would drop in and let you know where I've been. My Aunt Jule is now losing her battle with pancreatic cancer, it's been a year since her diagnosis and we have now moved her to the Hospice House for her final journey home to be with the lord and the love of her life My Uncle Joe who has been gone for 5 years and I'm sure is waiting at the gates for her to join him.
She was in a lot of pain on Friday and we took her to the hospital and her cancer had grown. she is losing blood also. After giving her blood on Friday and Saturday we decided the best move was to move on to the hospice house which has been a blessing they are wonderful and have been a great help.
She has no children so we have set up a schedule with the nieces and nephews to stay around the clock with her. My Nana is her only living sibling and is not able to stay very long.
Just wanted to let everyone know I haven't left just on a break. Please keep us in your prayers.
Our prayer is that she has on pain as she makes this final journey home to a joyous celebration in Heaven with all of her loved ones who are waiting for her there. I know God will hear our prayers and take her quickly and painless. Have a wonderful and blessed weekend. We will be celebrating a wonderful 86 years of life lived this weekend with Aunt Jule.

It's a PARTY and we are so excited about watching the video and visiting all the blogs with all of their cute fur babies. This was a wonderful cause and we were glad to help in our small way. Please make sure you visit Kelee and Oliver over at the Katillac Shack to Party On!!!!

We thought we would first tell you a little about Admiral since this day is all about him:) So pull up a doggie pillow and read on.
First of all he is 10 years old and of course he loves his momma. He has an unusual name that you don't hear very often It came from my son Derek whom Admiral doe's actually belong to He's named after Dereks favorite NBA Basketball star David Robinson who has the nick name The Admiral since he was in the Navy so Admiral it was or I should say Admiral David Robinson which is actually our last name.Now on to our scarf we made it has a story behind it. My son Derek has a friend Bo who has had cancer since they went to high school all the boys wear the yellow live strong bracelet's along with bo He is on his third round with this awful disease and just had a bone marrow transplant we are hoping for wonderful news soon. So Bo being one of Admiral's favorite humans we decided to dedicate out scarf to Bo. Now Admiral can be one of the boys and give all his support to Bo.

Hey everyone I've missed you guys:) Been a little busy here the d-mans friend Tyler left for Afghanistan on Friday so after a big cry I went shopping. you know therapy:) I have a few finds and some projects I've finished. trying to get everything painted around here and putting out the fall. It's been fall weather here so I'm in the mood for just a few things so far.

First is a couple of jars I found out thrifting and painted up with some chalk board paint I made the boys teacher's a jar for Happy first day of school, not sure what I'm putting in the big one yet. oooh I almost forgot about my cute ice bucket that matches my snack tin, isn't she cute:) and last but not least here's my cute square fall wreath on my door, what do ya think? as soon as I find the rest of my leaves I'll finish fluffing it up. And as you all know It's football season here and It's not starting off great so It could be a loooooong fall;) Coach was a bear this weekend yuck I just can't even tell you the score. It was that bad and yes I know poor Julie right just kidding I cheated and didn't go shhh are little secret:) I'm painting my little aqua table on the porch for fall. Can't wait to get my pumpkins and mums to finish the porch

Hello blogging friends boy has it been crazy here! I've been trying to check in on everyone but not had time to do a post, As you know if you've been around here long it's football season here already so a little busy here. My aunt was back in the hospital but she's feeling better now boy that's a lot of running back and forth, And then I was starting a new project here which had to come to a stop while all the hospital stuff was going on now back up and running full speed ahead

Painting the master bedroom now if me and the coach could just agree on the color:) just don't tell him but I'm going to win can this be our little secret shhhh. of course we will be painting with Sherwin Williams paint that's where the d-man works and of course I get to use his big discount woo hoo!!! And My dad's still down in the back so I've not been going to the flea market on thursdays which is killing me:) I may have to go by myself before it gets cold here. I have got a few cute things while out thrifting will be back tomorrow to show some cute stuff:) Have a great day.

I've not done any posting nor have I been thrifting much I have lots to finish but when ever I have time to spray paint It seems like it rains like it is doing as I'm sitting here typing. Nothing much going on dad's in physical therapy for his back so we've not been going to the flea market on Thursdays and now its the start of football practice for the coach so I never see him until dark which is usually when I get my projects done but I've been lazy this summer lol now I'm trying to get it all done at one time:) So I thought I'd share some random pics of the last month Some of the flower beds some from fourth of July I hope everyone is enjoying there summer have a great day!

Family Reunion!

Hello friends,

Were back from the wilds of West Virginia and the Family Reunion we had a great time we got to see a lot of wild life and that's not just the kids that were there. Spent the weekend with family playing games swimming and eating what more could you ask for. I just got to sit on the side of the pool due to my lovely bronchitis but still had fun. I just got better pics sitting there:) We stayed in the Chief Logan Lodge in Logan WV and it was wonderful!!!!

I thought I'd share some pic from the weekend I hope you enjoy them. We finally have some great weather so I hope I can get out and paint some of my projects. Haven't been going to the flea market on Thursdays my dad pinched a nerve in his back and he was my flea partner. I may have to go without him this week.

Hi everyone

This is Admiral my very special model. Yeah I know he's just too cute you can go ahead and say it.:) Check out his new yellow scarf that came from Kelee at the katillac shack the if we decorate 150 scarves her sponsor will donate $2,000 to help abandoned dogs and cats due to foreclosure and job loss. It's the cutest scarf with a quote from Oliver Wendell her cute dog "Play Strong" who is smitten with one Ms. Maggie over at the Daisy Cottage. So Admiral and I decorated his with cute doggie buttons and his name. Everyone needs something with their name on it. The scarf reminded us of Lance Armstrong's live strong bracelets so we dedicate ours to Bo The D-mans best friend who has survived cancer twice and he is also Admirals favorite human. And now he can match them when they walk with their bracelets on. I will have to tell you he is the best dog in the whole world this is according to his momma. We loved making the scarf and hope it helps all the little doggies. Have a wonderful week:)

Hello everyone It seems like I've been gone awhile its been crazy here with Fathers Day and Our Anniversary trying to get everything done and cleaned up after all the rain.

First thing Happy Anniversary to my great Husband The Coach 18 years married wow!!! I love you more everyday. He's my rock and makes me smile everyday. Love you Honey!!Then I was in charge of the Fathers Day Breakfast at Church getting their gifts and making all the arrangements for food and also the worship center up front so I've been busy getting everything together.

With all the rain gave us a little trouble and my sister had quite a bit of water in her garage and yard I think we're all cleaned up now I hope.

We also had a birthday party for Cole who turned 5 on Sunday. So Happy Big 5 Cole

So yes we've been busy I have a few projects to share But I have the boys all this week so I'm not sure how and when I will get to post. Have a great week

Yeah! its Friday and I'm so ready for all of this rain to go away or my hubby is going to have to start on the ark!! Well no flea market for the last 3 weeks its rained every time did make it to the goodwill once and a couple of estate sales and my favorite weekend bargain store so I thought I'd share some of my goodies I found. the first on is one of my favorite a lady at my Church found all of these old clothes pins at an estate sale for a 1.00 and she said she thought of me and brought them to me. That's not all they wouldn't fit so I have to find something else to put them in. Now for the rest of the posts you might say this lady is addicted to dishes(maybe just don't tell the coach) Enjoy and have a great weekend:)

Hi Girls I'm finally back we've had computer problems and then the d-man had computer problems and he hijacked ours so every time I needed to use it he had it. I drawed for my 100th post winner and Cathy Cobblestone won Congratulations Cathy. I love her blog she's very talented you should go visit her shes listed on my blog roll.
I haven't got a lot done even without a computer I swear I think it has rained everyday so painting anything is out of the question. but my flowers have loved all the rain they have taken off and look great. Outside Planting Time

Hey girls I've been outside doing some planting in between all the rain I have a few more things to do and then I'll share some more photos it's going to start raining again on Thursday here so I hope I can get done. I had a wonderful Mothers Day on Sunday we cooked out at my mom's and just hung out. The d-man got me the greatest gift a digital picture frame that holds 3000 photos now I just have to figure out how to work it:)

Happy Mothers Day to all of you I hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed weekend. Today I thought I'd share some pics from our Mother's Day Dinner at Church last night. Our Theme this year was" Blessed be the ties that Bind". We tied it together with aprons which my Grandma Kate and I sewed together all 37 of them. The ladies each brought 1yd of fabric since Feb. and they got to see them last night. I hung them up with clothes line around our room. We had chicken salad and ham salad sandwiches and fruit and vegetable trays and chocolate covered strawberries and cake yummy!!! everyone had a great time.
Happy Mothers Day to my Mom who helped me get all the food ready yesterday.. and to Grandma Kate who I helped sew the aprons and to my Nana. And Happy Mothers Day to all of you. Make it a great one.

Today is The Coach's Birthday!!!! Happy 41 to my sweet hubby the love of my life and the best Daddy a boy could have. He got a new dryer and 4 new tires for the d-man's truck yes he did... But we didn't really let him go without any presents for his birthday and we went out to eat at Cheddars to celebrate....
I hope everyone has a great week I have our Mothers Day Dinner to do on Thursday and a track meet to announce on friday so I may not be around much.

A little summer on the porch

Hey everyone it's supposed to be flea market day here but its raining:( So I thought I would share a little of what has been going on here. First we survived the prom and everyone had a great time. We've had some pretty weather so I thought I would work on my front porch which is very small and add a little punch of color for summer I painted me table with a beach blue found some cute place mats at Marshall's I am using for a seat cushion on my chair and then I changed the ribbon on my wreath I still have some tweaking to do and find some cute accessories a mini flag for the front of the porch maybe in brown and blue.

You can see me Old mail box under the table I painted it brown and I think I may have to add some of the blue to it maybe polka dots I also think I will paint some of my pots brown and add polka dots to them. But no painting today so I'm off to sew with Grandma Kate I can't wait to show you what we've been up too for mothers day. Next week it will be crazy here I'm doing the mothers day banquet for church on Thursday evening so its going to be crazy trying to get everything done before Thursday plus one track meet on Tuesday for Ally and then I have a big track meet on Friday to work for the high school. I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Hello everyone!

Well we got the lake cleaned up and the water is flowing freely here in all drains and not under the house. I started doing laundry to get caught up and the I heard this awful noise and the dryer died. so we called my dad he said do this and check that after 60.00 it worked for about 1 min and got hot hot hot. so I said time for a new dryer so now I'm sitting here waiting for the Lowe's guys to bring my new one with laundry and everything that was in there sitting in my living room. I hope this is all that can happen for awhile.

Saturday It turned out so cute with a monogram plate and some cute kitchen accessory's and a cute apron all in black white and tan. And I finished the last prom bouquet for Ms Jamie and Nick Pink roses. Prom is Friday so I'll post some pics this weekend. Have a great day.

Why are Holidays so exhausting? I always feel like I need a vacation after there over.

We had a great Easter, but we also had a water problem and now I have orchard street lake under my house being pumped out as we speak in the pouring rain. Oh what a lovely muddy mess on my floors:) I couldn't do laundry or dishes until today not that I'm complaining mind you but it does pile up quickly around here. so guess what I'm doing now? any takers on that guess....

It was my Aunt's first Sunday back to church.

We had dinner after church and then just hung out. I have a few pictures to share from some projects soon as the water is cleaned up.

Hello everybody!

Happy 10th Birthday Admiral your the best Doggie a family could have. We love you Big Dog!

Yeah I'm back my laptop crashed on thursday evening and I've been in withdraw lol. We got it fixed pronto thanks LB he got it yesterday and fixed it yesterday a new mother board and we are up and running again. So a pan of brownies for LB is on the way.

Now on to more pressing matters the flea market was hopping but I only found a few treasures some glass door knobs and some cute baby clothes for my son's friend with the tags still on them.

Then on saturday we went to 2 estate sales found some cute white plates and a white platter.

It's snowing here as I'm typing this post I thought It was spring!!! I hope it clears up before flea market day. I've been working on the kitchen as I've got time with working on prom flowers and a wedding shower gift basket in between I've got another project with my grandma kate we're sewing aprons for the Mothers Day Banquet at church I'll post some pics soon they are so cute.

Hello everyone it's so nice to be back.

We've been a little busy here with spring break and getting ready for prom. I have actually gotten a few small projects done on the few nice days we have had in between the rain and cold. I found this chalk board/picture frame with easel for 2.00 at the thrift store so I brought it home and painted it black I put scrapbook paper in the frames until I can come up with something.

the next pictures are part of my wall in my family room a cute little sing and a candle ring I turned into a wreath to fill in this spot still a work in progress. and a sneak peak at the prom bouquets I'm working on first is sammi's orange and pink and the second one the girls dress is red black white and cheetah print how interesting. I've got one more to do in pale pink and cream.

I still have a list a mile long of things that need to get done but my dad just called and the flea market we go to is opening on Thursday if it don't rain yeah can't wait

to get started. have a great week :)

Some cute gifts for babies

Hi everyone we're having a few great spring days here so we've been outside doing some things around the house nothing great to show. But I thought I'd show you some baby gifts that I have done recently.

We're getting 2 new babies this year so far so I will be coming up with some more gifts so I was looking through some photos to get some ideas. I thought I would share some with you I have more but they are pre digital and I'm going to have to dig them up first.

The first one is a basket that I made for Little Landon his nursery was a zoo theme I also made him that cute paint can to match then the next paint can went in Zayne's gift as you can see his was a buckeye theme his uncle Marcus plays for the buckeyes I can't find the other pics of the rest of his gift I'll have to keep looking.

The last is a diaper cake that I made for my son's bf K.C. new baby girl the boys had a baby shower for him. pink and green was the colors of the nursery. Now on to deciding what to do next we may have to wait to find out if we know what these babies are gonna be.

Hello everyone, it seems like its been forever since I posted. I've been a little busy My Aunt came home from the nursing home and she is not going to take any more treatments. I think her quality of life will be better for how ever long she has. we don't know the doctors haven't really told us much other than the tumor is still there and there is no cure. she has an appointment on Friday. Hopefully we will get some answers But on a good note she is up walking around with just her walker as assistance and eating better and she also has her voice back. Please keep us in your prayers.

Now on to some other things from around here We are ready for spring to begin we had great weather yesterday and now rain and cold today I have a few projects to paint when it quits raining and I've put out a few more Easter and spring things. Also almost finished the first prom bouquet for my niece Sammi she's wearing orange which is like orange sherbet with a raspberry sherbet on the skirt with orange. yeah try to come up with something to match that...

Okay I'm not liking this weather it was 80 here on Tuesday and now its 45 and we may get snow on Friday yuck! I'm still getting some spring around here just to brighten things up. We brought my Aunt home from the nursing home on Monday and she's doing well she needs someone to stay the night with her right now but other than that she's doing well we're waiting on all the test results to see where we stand with the cancer. I'm starting on prom flowers this week this was my real job at one time so It's something I do at prom and a few weddings I have 4 to do so far.

Hi everyone I can't wait for spring! its to cold here so I've been turning the inside to spring. A little St. Patrick's and a little Easter so I thought I'd share a few pics with you what I've been up to in between running to the nursing home. A little update My aunt has decided to not take any more treatments so now we are working on her getting her strength back so she can come home to spend what ever time she has left. We're not even sure how long that will be yet she has some test to undergo to see what the tumor looks like and how far it has progressed. I will keep you updated we go to the Dr. on Thursday. Please keep us in your prayers. Now on to spring things to I don't cry anymore about all of this. You have to see the cute carrot I got made from grapevine its so cute. Today my baby turned 21 and I can't believe it. It seems like only yesterday he was born and now he's all grown up. We sat down and went through all of his scrapbooks and looked at all of the pictures and his life in pictures all the ball games and the first day of kindergarten when he said bye momma I'll see ya later and took his best friend Michael's hand who was crying and went in to class with out me then I cried all the way home. I also cried his first day of high school. All of his friends have been in and out this weekend they celebrated on Friday together. Here's some snapshots of my baby growing up. Have a great 21st birthday D you've grown up to be the most wonderful young man and dad and I are very proud of you and we love you!!

Hello everyone,

First I want to thank everyone for all the prayers for my aunt and the pup. I'll start with the pup he got all his stitches out and all of his test came back good he has a scar above his eye where he pulled the stitches out and had to be restitched. His dad said chicks dig scars and he'll be alright. But mommy doe's not like it:) Now on to Aunt Jule I haven't been around because we had to put her in the hospital her white blood count was one and she was pretty sick she's been in since last Monday she's finally feeling a little better yesterday she finally ate all of her meals yeah this is a good thing. now we need to get her counts up so she can get back to the nursing home and hopefully home for awhile.

Oh yes I forgot my mil went to Florida yeah!!! I know I'm bad but sometimes you just have to be. I'm trying to fit in planning the big party for the d-man's big 21 on Sunday can you believe it.

Now that's a fashion statement!

Look what happens when you turn your head, Admiral tore the stitch out of his eye we had to go back and they put 3 more in with pink thread this time. its a fashion statement I know you all want to go right out and get some for your pet along with the lovely e collar so he won't do it again isn't he pretty. His biopsy came back great just an infected gland and 2 cysts boy was Momma happy to hear that now lets just heal up so we can get rid of all the new fashion statements:)

My aunt had a Dr's appointment yesterday and he put her in the hospital she was very sick and had bleeding in her mouth from all of the treatments no updates on her cancer yet her tests are not until the end of the month. So keep us in your prayers and I'll keep everyone updated as we go along.

Of course I haven't had much time for projects but I'm working on getting started on the kitchen so I got a new rug and a clock as soon as it gets warm here I have a few projects to do and some big projects also.

Happy Birthday Miss Londyn!
My Baby with stiches This is from our front porch after the storm.

Okay it's been a while since I posted it's been a little crazy around here first we had a lovely snow storm which was a white out and we were out driving in it because mil wouldn't answer her phone so we had to go check on her she's fine and no I didn't kill her but it was a thought as we were going home sliding all the way.

My Aunt is still having treatments everyday until the end of the month and then some test to see how everything is going but so far no news.

Then we had another birthday party yes another one. Miss Londyn turned 2 she's so cute. See I told you I've been busy. My baby had surgery on Tuesday and spent the day at the vet poor baby has been in a lot of pain lots of stitches on his face and his leg. Today he's feeling a little better but stiff and his eye is still puffy.

We had a big wind storm on Wednesday no electric off and on, so no school on Thursday because our school had no electric still have some people out but school today.

We had a rainbow after the storm. I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and A Happy Valentines Day.

Happy 3rd Birthday Princess Sophie!! We love you!

Wow we've had a long weekend. Saturday was Princess Sophie's 3rd Birthday she had a Tinkerbell party. We started out the day at 6:00a.m. to get ready for the 2.5 hour trip which might take longer in all the snow and ice. We got there at 10a.m. so we could watch Wills upward bound basketball game and then Sophie's party then bring back mil. wow a long day. Here's a few shots from the day The last is the only shot of Sophie's ragamuffin I made for her new big girl bedroom which is now painted pink it turned out so cute.

It was a long day we got back about 7p.m. last night now we're just resting up and watching the Superbowl. Go Steelers!

Family Updates!

This is a photo of my Nana and her sisters and their Mom my Mamaw Boo my aunt who is sick is the one in the middle in front and the one leaning down next to her is my Nana.

I have an update for everyone on my aunt we had a setback this past week a trip to the er from the nursing home with a high fever they could not get under control. It was a infection in her blood they got that under control and then they put a permanent stint in her pancreas. she's back at the nursing home we go to the doctor for a final run through for the radiation and chemo tomorrow and then they will give us a schedule. she wants to come home but the Dr.'s say she isn't strong enough yet to be at home. so that's another thing we have to deal with everyday. Okay mil still at bil's until Saturday when we go for Sophie's 3rd Birthday Party and bring her back but only if the weather clears up. we got a lot of ice over night and then snow again today on top they got 8 inches or so at their house which is about 2.5 hours north of us. So they might have to keep her longer darn:) My baby's vet appointment had to be cancelled the vet had 2 emergency's and then all this bad weather we haven't been able to get there so we're waiting for that now she says he might have to stay one of two nights I don't think they remember the last time he had to stay it was bad!!!! lets just say he does not like to be away from his momma over night and he lets everyone know about it. So wish me luck with that one. Okay one other thing this week my Nana has something wrong with her leg and can't walk on it they think she has a cyst behind the bend in her leg she has to go for an ultra sound to see what is going on with it. I hope this is all that it is. And please continue to keep us in your prayers. Stay warm:)

Guess what it's doing at our house?

It's snowing and snowing we have about 3 inches and it's still going with freezing rain right behind it. This is our second snow day and I'm sure it won't be our last this week. It started Sunday with a little snow and ice but the d-man had school yesterday no morning classes today there so good to you in college:) got to get our moneys worth lol

This is admiral this morning it's almost up to his belly he was not happy to be out in it but some times you just have to go. This is after with daddy all wrapped up in his blankie. The three c's will be coming to sleigh ride later today. Stay warm folks! I'm off to get some things done just in case there's no electric when the ice storm comes:)
*****Update****** Yeah we still have electric but now its raining on top of the snow and ice and then change over to ice and then 4-6 inches more of snow:)

Happy Birthday Grandma Kate and Riann

Happy 88th Birthday Grandma Kate!! This is my Dad's mom her birthday was yesterday and my niece Riann's is today she's 11 we're celebrating this weekend with a party for both of them.
An update on my aunt we had to put her in the nursing home for some rehab from having no strength to get up and walk by herself. We went to the Dr. on Monday and we won't start chemo and radiation until next week hopefully since the nursing home called me on Tuesday and were on there way to the er with her for a high fever so now she's back at the hospital hopefully we can get all of this under control. And before I forget Congratulations to our friends Mindy and Andy on their new blessing Dean. Hunter will be a great big brother:) We're still saying our Prayers for Kelli and Harper. Have a wonderful weekend if I don't get back to you before then.

Happy Monday! Okay it's been a long day today everyone is home and I haven't got anything done here. My cousin took my aunt today to get the doctor and they just marked her for her radiation and her chemo. we have to go back on Thursday for a trial run and now they are saying only 1 day a week then in a couple of weeks most likely 2 days and then everyday so we will have to see how things go. My baby goes to the vet at the end of the week hubby thinks he will have to stay over night:( he doesn't do well away from momma so I'm not sure they will want him overnight.lol I'm trying to get some valentines things done here hopefully some pics of projects later this week. Dropped mil off to sil for 2 weeks yeah can I get an amen from somebody:) Sorry sil but I've had her for 23 years its someone Else's turn:)

An update on my aunt

Okay here's our update we went to the cancer doctor on Thursday and we have to go on Monday at 8a.m. to start radiation and then 10 for chemotherapy and it will be everyday so we are setting up our schedule this weekend to see who goes when. so I guess will be pretty busy here for awhile. also my little admiral isn't feeling well and has 3 cysts that have come up the vet will be draining them next week and we might have to have surgery to remove the one on his leg so fun I'm sure he'll need his Momma for awhile to baby him:) Please keep us in your prayers. Hey girls I just can't get into finishing up all the undoing of Christmas. I usually put up my snowmen for January and then valentines mixed in with them. I got the top of the entertainment cabinet done with some white lights and a few pink hearts from the dollar store and then added some to the basket hanging on my chair by the door. I did a few frames with Valentines in them. I haven't had too much time around here between my mil having an accident in her van:( she's alright but the van not so much. and my great aunt who is 83 has just been diagnosed with cancer of her pancreas and we've had to deal with all of this also. We go to the doctor Thursday to decide what to do about treatment she has no children so my mom and her sisters and me are taking care of all this. So if I'm not here you know where I'll be:) I may have to come visit everyday just to keep my sanity. Keep us in your prayers we'll be needing them!

Wow it's already time for the buckeyes to play tonight. I'm preparing everything so we can enjoy the game I hope its a good one. We heard from K.C. and he said it was 75 and he was enjoying the weather the turkey. We'll be watching good luck to Marcus and K.C. play hard We're very proud of you guys! bring home a win. this is a new one I got Christmas eve at hubby's family party it's a dried gourd!

It's warm today you know around 40 so I'm working on my porch decorating for winter I have a sled and some cute snowmen I'll take some pics when I'm done. We leave our tree up until Monday so I'll be busy next week taking everything apart:) I may have to leave some lights up to give us some sparkle. I'm saving one string of red lights for valentines. Yeah it's over! I'm pooped too many Christmas parties and not enough time to enjoy all of them. Here's some pics from all of our family parties. Warning lots of pictures!

First party was on the Sunday before Christmas with bil and the drama queen sil

And the stockings were hung finally! We're waiting for Santa at Orchard Street Cottage it's cold and rainy here so we're tucked in with the tree all lit up and our Christmas movies all lined up to watch all day! This is the tree from church it's a work in progress our colors are red and gold so I'm working on picking some things up after Christmas to add to it and some ribbon.

here's the gifts I made for the girls in hubby's office a coaster stamped with a cute quote that says "All you need in life is a friend who has chocolate" and then we added a Hershey bar with the old fashion wrapper and all tied up with a bow.

This is my Robinson family household gift for hubby's family Christmas party we have to bring a gift to pass around mine's movie and popcorn night with Christmas Vacation and the Polar Express. Okay I'm sure your bored already:) I need to go run a few last min. errands and then I'm done yeah!!!! don't forget those cute stockings. Christmas tree drama!

OH the Christmas Drama at our house. First my sil and her no present buying for her children(like that's going to happen) any who then I get my tree up and was finishing up all the rest of the decorating and yes it happened the tree fell over and most of my glass ornaments that we have had for a long time broke well there it was in all its 7ft glory on the floor. Poor hubby looked at me and I just started crying then him and the d-man picked it up and there was all the glass which made me worse. But what are you going to do its over and I'm fine yes I'm fine I think I'm fine. So here's a photo I took before the big fall and I haven't taken one yet of it now I had to undress it and redo and just haven't had the time. It has red and white lights layered one row red next white and all the ornaments are red and silver and 90% are Ohio State of course with a few of our favorites and lots of sports ornaments.

Christmas has finally come to Orchard Street Cottage I'm still working on this but here's some pics of things already done.

This one is a frame I made with a quote and the basket is filled with some of my Nanny's old ornaments she gave me.

The white basket is one my papaw made when he lived in the children's home so I filled it with more ornaments from my nanny and two of the d-mans favorite story books from when he was little.

This is the top of the entertainment center some more of our favorite stories and some Garland filled with goodies and white lights.

Hi Girls sorry I've been gone so long. A little drama sometimes goes a long way my sil has caused some drama here for Christmas. But I'm over it and she can *********** you may fill in the blanks with what ever you want. Because I'm buying the kids presents and she can grin and bear it. Okay I've been busy with old saint nick trying to get ready first my vinyl lettering project is done look it's a stocking hanger.

I'll have a better picture when It's hung up with the stockings.

Here's another project with an old Christmas tree. These were 60.00 at the local floral shop so I made them out of some old trees we had I've made around 25 or so I put them together and made the bows they had to decorate them their selves all my aunts and cousins and my mom and nan and mil and sister have them now these are mine shhh don't tell them I made mine a litter fancy:)

Here's the top and see on my window sill that's some more. I'm getting pics of all of the ones we did and I will post them later now that's some recycling

Okay not a lot to blog about still working on all my projects and starting to put up Christmas. First I have to put up the tree at church and then my mil's and then mine trying to get them done now so I can do mine over the weekend so I still don't have anything all the way done but I did make it down to the outlet Friday and got some cute things first this cute cookie jar for 5.00

Then I got this cute lunch box for Sophie and then of course I had to girly it up she's only 2 so we're going to use it to take stuff to church. This was 2.49 its a yum-o from Rachael Ray

I also got some more drapery rings for my ragamuffins and a couple of Christmas bowls and their clothes were buy one get one free so I got Sophie 2 Christmas shirts that were from Target for 2.99 very cute. Now I will give you a sneak peak at some stuff I'm working on and as soon as I get these darn trees up I can finish.

this is another project a ragamuffin for my neighbor Jordan who is moving and her new room is several shades of purple I'm almost done.

Okay I have survived the weekend the d-man made it back home from holy Columbus Ohio! and of course I didn't get all of my crafts done. My wall words project is almost done just a little more to do here's a hint I put it on something that I could use every year. My Mom and sisters garland is almost done they had to decide what to put in them and what ribbon so I have to now put them together. I got a few bargains this weekend and will post them later the d-man has the camera loaded with buckeye pictures so I'm working on loading them now hopefully I can take some pics here later today. I'm also getting ready for thanksgiving with lots of out of town guests yippy skippy:) Now I won't bore you all with my Buckeyes beating Michigan 5 times in a row or that One of My Boys had a fumble recovery at the end of the game and then got to run for a first down. We're so proud of you Marcus way to go!!!! And Thank you senior Buckeyes for all the great games we will miss you all. Okay I'll try not to mention them or that great record of 5 in a row beating that team up north. I promise:)

Okay it's a big week at our house the big game is on this weekend Ohio State vs Michigan at our house its number one priority so I've been getting all the goodies ready and putting all my Ohio state stuff out and of course inflating brutus! The d-man is going to the game and will be very close to the field the lucky duck. I hope he stays warm. Here's a pic from his seat.

I'm working on a few christmas things one my mom and sister seen at a christmas open house and ask me if I could make it. A long swag made from greenery with a bow for the front door but they wanted them for the posts on their front porches so we broke out the old christmas tree and I am working on them this week I'll take pics and post them hopefully this weekend. I am also working on a way to use my christmas wall words that I can keep from year to year. Hope everyone has a great week.

Hey girls I found a few things Friday. I found these cute Red Charger plates 4 for 3.99 I also got a cute Christmas quote for the wall that says Twas the night before Christmas for 2.49. I haven't decided where I'm going to put it. If I had a fire place I would put it over it. I also got 2 cute fall plates with leaves embossed all over them for .99 and some cute acorn napkins for thanksgiving for 1.49 for 2. and last thing I got was some drapery rings and clips for my ragamuffins for 3.00 so I guess I did find some good deals just wish they had more.

So now you have seen all my deals for Friday hopefully I can find some other good stuff this week.

I hope everyone had a great weekend!! we were all sick here and boy was it cold and rainy yuck

But the buckeyes won so all is right with everyone here.

Hey girls it's friday i'm off to go thrfting and looking for some deals. Boy I have not done anything this week between having the boys and having this lovely cold that said boys gave me :) Today is going to be in the high 60's so I'm leaving early so I can get back. to get some painting done on some projects. So I can show you all when their done yeah!

Happy Veterans Day!! It's been a long day with the boys again. boy do I need to get a lot done around here, I think the dust bunnies are holding Admiral hostage or he got ate bye the hugh pile of laundry in the laundry room. I thought I'd show you some of our thanksgiving decorations since I don't have anything else to show you.

It's Party Time

Okay I'm late for the party but I have a wonderful cold from the 3 c's whom I have been babysitting so I didn't get my new stuff done but here's one that I use all the time and fill up to match the outside

These are just paint cans I bought at lowes and spray glued the scrap paper on and tacky glued the ribbon. I tied the ribbons on the handle and tied the paint key to the tag the small ones don't have a handle so I made one out of wire. Have fun filling them up with candy or goodies hair bows ect.

Well its been raining here all day so what doe's a girl do when it rains and she can't spray paint. she goes thrift shopping and buys a few things for christmas gifts.

The coffee mugs were 5.00 for 4 and their Oneida and the plates were 5.00 and are christopher radko and the cheese ball snowman is oneida for 2.00

They are all going in gift baskets for the girls who work for coach at his office

and then I came across this and got 2 but haven't decided where to put the second one for 10.00

okay My last little bargain was 1.00 and I had to spray paint him before it rained what do you think?

Gosh it's Thursday already. Watching those boys has thrown me off for the week I 've never gotten my painting done and it's supposed to rain tomorrow:( I hope not until late so I can try to get the rest painted and get a little thrifting done. Here's the shelve I did get painted and hung back on the wall but it needs a few things and some cute plates over it so it's a work in progress. Sorry again for the crappy picture hopefully Santa will read my list I've been pretty good.

It was stained and then I painted it cream and then sanded it and added the glass knobs to hang things on I painted the little candle light black and found the shade at wally world the welcome sign I got for 2 at the outlet it was broke and everything else I had from one place or another. I have 2 more shelves to paint the same way and I have a few other knobs to add to them. Can you see that awful thermostat in the middle of my wall don't you just love old houses we're getting a new one and I hope they can at least move it but I'm not holding my breath... I've almost got my thanksgiving stuff out and hope to take pics tomorrow no boys until Monday..

First I should tell you about the three c's this is what we call them My cousin Heather has 3 little boys that I have babysat for since #1 was 6 months old he's now 6. I have been off from watching them for about 8 months due to my fall and breaking my tail bone and hurting my hip. I miss them a lot. Well last night she called their aunt who watches them now has the flu. I said yes I could watch them so at o'dark thirty this morning i was at there house for the day omg!! what a long day #1 C is Collin #2 C is Cole and #3 C is Carson 6,4,1.5 now they were wild since they haven't seen me much. I just put #3 down for his nap and thought peace and quiet and someone knocked on the door and handed me this.

It has the greatest smelling candle in it cinnamon roll yummy! the card said Thanks for coming to the rescue and boy were those boys excited to hear you were coming We love you the three C's. So what to do with three cute little boys for the day we made cookies and chicken noodle casserole their fav. now mom has the evening off too. I love you guys and thanks for the gift:)
I'll have them until B feels better or I'm in traction:)
All of November I will post some of the things I'm thankful for.
I am thankful for family they are my everything I love all of them.

Okay Momma and Admiral are waiting on the great pumpkin to come, but before that we got ready for trick or treat I think while we were waiting we ate as much candy as we passed out.

This is admiral saying trick or treat for a candy corn Hershey kiss. he looks like he needs it lol and then we hung some halloween lights around the door and lit all the jack o lantern buckets.

Well it's trick or treat here tonight and Admiral and Momma are getting all the goodies ready for are cute little trick or treaters he's so excited he loves to help pass out candy I think he eats as much as we pass out. Family and Halloween

okay are you tired of Halloween yet? I hope not I have a few more pics first I got these cute little witches hats at walmart for a 1.00 and just had to share.

And here's a pic of the d-man at a Halloween party a couple of years ago with his Friends Ash and Kels their sisters. I don't have many pics of the d-man in costume he hates Halloween so he didn't dress up much. I think he gets that from his dad.lol

Don't they look cute. okay I can't promise no more halloween but its still two days away so who knows!!!!

I didn't get my painting done we had a late phone call yesterday and coach's cousin had a car accident monday evening and her boyfriend was killed in the accident so I spent most of the day on the phone trying to find out how she was. there about 2.5 hours away in Columbus so all of us who were down here played phone tag. I got a call this morning she's bruised up and had some stitches but fine she was wearing her seat belt and so was the truck driver that was in the accident but her boyfriend was not and was killed in the accident. Please say a prayer for his family and ours. Heather's sister was killed in a car accident 3 years ago on her way to work and her mom is not taking this well.

Okay I do not like the cold weather here and neither doe's Mommas Baby Admiral see what I mean.. you can find him here anytime its cold under his blanket and would you look at that crazy dog he has to have a pillow too he 's there right now and boy is he snoring...(just like his daddy)

I have to tell you about this cute little antique and primitive shop we found on our adventures sat. I forgot the camera so no pics but I won't do that again. It was so cute she had the cutest Halloween things and I'm going back for her Christmas open house. Anyways she had orange lights in all of her fall leaves and decorations so I thought oohh that looks so cute of course I stopped at the wally world and look at the top of my scrapbook cabinet now.

It looks great at night sorry about the blurry pic my camera sucks! Maybe Santa will bring me a new one hint hint coach....

Okay I'm painting a few projects in the house today because its cold outside. Now I have to get busy here and get some house work done too so coach doesn't think I'm slaking or anything lol

Hey girls Happy Monday! Well the estate sales were a bust this weekend but I did find a few things to do this weekend I worked on a few tassels for some gifts and done a few other things which I will show you later in the week. I had a little party for my kids in Sunday school they loved it and Abbie loved her can. Okay here are the tassels I worked on.

Saturday estate sale time!!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. It's raining here yuck:( But never fear I'm off to 5 estate sales today so maybe will hit the jackpot today. My mil gave us her mothers china last weekend and we have no place to put it so I'm on the look out for a great hutch and something to put my tv on other than this awful entertainment center which we have had for years it take up too much room. I was up late with my boys last night it was their last game and not win all season makes for a long season and a grouchy coach. so whats a mom to do I made brownies and cookies for all the boys and met them after the game. Just to say I'm still proud of them and I love them no matter how they play. It was 12:00 before they got back and it was cold and rainy yuck.... Hope everyone has a great Saturday:)

Busy weekend and More halloween!

I know I said no more Halloween but I couldn't help myself I had to make me a frame with Halloween and I couldn't find a small frame with 3 openings so I had this one and now I think I like this size what do you all think?

And then look at this cute Halloween bucket I made for Abbie in my Sunday school class. first to let you know she is my only one for now everyone else was promoted up and there was no one to be promoted up to my class, so its just us girls and I think she loves all the attention. I filled it with candy I think she will love it!

We were a little busy this weekend I skipped the ball game Friday I had a stomach virus during the week and thought maybe I should stay close to the bathroom I mean house:) so I was crafty all evening I'll show you later in the week. and then sat the buckeyes didn't play until 3:30 so we ran errands and got home just in time to see kick off then hung out all evening watching football. Sunday we went to mil for dinner and then to the cemetery to put flowers on my fil's stone I sure do miss him i always make his flowers so he'll look good;0 He would love that. Tomorrow is his birthday so he had to look great and nice and fall.

Well we got rained out today for our flea market day yuck:( so dad and I went to lowes and the walmart wow! after we came home I decided to venture out in the rain I went to this little shop that I get my flowers and ribbon they have a kinds of cute things and their christmas shop is open ooooh lots of ideas spinning in this little brain!

I know I've showed you guys all of my halloween stuff but I got something today on my little adventure look how cute it will go great with my witches chair.

okay I'm done with halloween I think! let me show you what I got for my 2 new tassels I'm making for my Grandma Kate the cute little bird she loves cardinals and look at that cute little beach bucket filled with sand its for Sami my niece she loves everything about the beach I made her a letter S but forgot to take a picture of it duh!

Okay was a little busy this weekend but on Thursday I made Ally-bug my niece the queen of the court this cute sign. its made out of scrapbook paper and an iron-on I got for .39 at hl.

It looks wet but I just had spray glued it on but it didn't look like that after it dried.

Then I just had to fluff up my witches hat on the porch I just couldn't leave it alone so what do you think?

Then I hung my witches boots on the pumpkin.

Hey everyone Happy Monday! Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I had company from out of town My bil and sil and my fav. munchkins Sophie,Will and Owen came down to go to the Bob Evans Farm Festival and then stayed the weekend there going home today. We had a great time just playing outside in the great weather. Also Friday was our big Rival game and I had lots of company over the weekend some of my boys came in for the game and then stopped here. So we've been busy and I didn't get anything done but picking up and cooking!!!! no pics for this post. I did get one project done Thursday evening for Ally(my niece) I'll post it later.

I said that I've been busy and boy have I been busy. I have lots of tassels made to show you, and the d-man has been keeping me busy with gifts for his friends(yes he's that sweet) without any prodding from his mom can you believe it. He has 3 friends that are graduating this year and they all play volleyball and it is Sr. night tonight so he ask me to make them a letter to put with the gift he got them. If you look close in each ribbon tied on them is a volleyball. He picked the paper on each one to match what the girls like. So here they are.

Well I have been a little busy today getting some projects done. First a ragamuffin for my bedroom with the d-mans senior pictures hanging from it. What do you think?

Sorry about the crappy pictures today I'm putting this in my bedroom over my mirror and I have no light fixture right now I'm getting a new one so its too dark to take a pic in there. but apparently this wasn't the greatest idea either.:) Its black cream and cranberry.

Then I got out the old glue gun and made a couple of tassels. the first one is one of my turkey salt shakers and the second one is a cute little mixer I found I may give it to my sister but I'm not sure. lol I have one more but it doesn't have a top yet so it will have to wait for another post.

The next one is a lamp that was blue with an ugly lamp shade sorry no before. I painted it red and found this shade for 2.00 at the weekend outlet. It's going in the d-mans bedroom.I have a few more projects to get done before it gets too cold outside to paint and a bunch of cute tops for some tassels that I will be giving as gifts for Christmas.

It's a Party at Kimbas
I'm going to Kimba's halloween party and I think I'll show you first my bucket jack o lanterns on my porch.

See him a lit up. But wait I have more look here on my cute black ladder.

Okay I just had to copy Andrea on her witches hat and broom! I loved it:) it will go great with my shirt for trick or treat that says if the broom fits fly it!lol I put this on my porch with my pumpkins.

But wait till you see my bargains I got this weekend. We've been a little busy this weekend, we had a game Friday night No we didn't win again but it was very close:( It was also my niece Samantha's 17th b-day and then coach had an auction sat at his real job. then Sunday was my Mom's b-day I better not tell how old she is;0 But in between I found some cute things. I had to stop at rite aid Friday and found these cute lanterns for 50% off. I got both of them for 15.00 don't you just love a bargains

then sat while coach was at his auction I went down to this little weekend outlet store we have and I found this cute welcome sign it was 4.99 but it was broken so the gave it to me for 2.00 and I came home and glued the letters back on! yeah it was originally 19.99 at target.

My Boys and Pumpkins

I'm not sure if everyone knows that my husband is a football coach and has been for 16 years. And if you know me you will hear me refer to the team as my boys. Since we only have one child some people think I'm crazy. Coach says that they love it and he likes to tease them about it but they love it anyway. We live in the country and our school is the county school and we have a lot of kids that don't have anything so I like to make sure they all get made over a little. I'm always waiting for them after the game to give hugs and great jobs ( and they do love hugs even for tough high school boys).
Okay there is a story here I promise, About 10 years ago the coach had a wild team of boys(boy were they wild) One of those boys lived with his grandma and he was usually the ring leader in most of their shenanigans. On one Thursday he brought coach a huge pumpkin and said can you give this to mom and coach said okay where did it come from and he said the pumpkin patch with a grin:) I know it was hot but I loved it. Well after he graduated he went in the service and served all over the world and after 2 tours in Iraq he's out of the service and married and back here.
He came out to practice to see the coaches and kids and he ask my hubby about me. Of course coach said she's still team mom and lovin every bit of it. then yesterday coach called and said I have a surprise for you when I get home. Look what Jared brought me a big pumpkin and he said with a grin to coach. it's legit this time coach :) I'm so proud of Jared he's turned out so great! And on my pumpkin there was a note that said It's a Boy!!!! I can't wait to get a great gift together for this little boy. I think my hubby and all of our coaches have turned out some great boys (men) who didn't have anyone but them for roll models. Sorry about the long post I'm just so proud of my boys and my coaches(some who used to be my boys) I just had to tell you all about one of them.Isn't she pretty!! It's my day to feed my boys so I've got some cooking to do and some hugs to pass out. Have a wonderful fall day!
